Earth and Fire

Regrettably, as with so many other events, this year’s Earth and Fire festival in June has been canceled.

I was looking forward to returning this year, having last exhibited at the festival prior to my MA in 2012 at Rufford Abbey.

The festival embodies the incredible sense of community that clay brings. Once the day’s trade was done, the potters would come together to drink, swap stories and play their folk songs into the night, it is a precious event.

Here’s to happier times, trust you’re all keeping safe.
